Oulook 2007 Mailmerge Public Folder Contacts

Hi,

I had been searching for a way to do this and am not a programmer and was elated when I found the archived thread and robdog888's code.

I have been working with robdog888's vb code and have got it working in outlook 2008 and my contacts but it is not working on public folder contacts.

Where should I be looking?

So you are running Outlook in an Exchange Server environment. There was an issue I remember I had about the connectivity of public folders when programmactially accesssed. Not sure if this is the same issue you are having.

So what is the actual issue or error message?

ok ... so I was tetsing the coding...

I have been trying it against my contacts before I try it againt the Public Folders Contacts.

It will run once on a clean start then it will not call the MMWatcher again (so I am guessing) since all other times that I ask to merge I get the standard Mail Merge Screen to pick the contact and the form.

Hi Rob,

All of the testing has been on Vista (I should know better) and mmwatcher does not intercept the MailMerge function.

I created a new test machine with Windows XP Pro and Office 2007 and am able to get the code to work, thanks!

First; is there any way to get the code to complete the Merge process in Word without the user having to click "Finish & Merge"

Second; is there any way to close the original Merge document without it asking to save changes
