Alchohol tester / open door mechanisam

it is an no idea topic for me
in vb6 + windows xp
i thinks to do an alchohol tester and door opening mechanisam.
if some one found drunken then door should not open
except vb6 to some extent i do not know any other knowledge.
can some one please advise me necessary tutorial regarding please.

Do you mean actually build something like this? Simulate it? Use an external device to get input? Can you give us a bit more information?

yes sir i my friends thought of doing like that but
now as a first step
we want to register the alcohol level Of a drunken person measured from breath analyzer into one access data base
i am totally clue less regarding this project.
kindly advise me
(1) how to get the out put of the breath analyzer in to the data base
(2) is it require any external hard ware for this purpose
-:- breath analyzer is a instrument if a person blows in his breath through that the if the instrument finds any alcohol content it will beep -;-
any demo project is available please

You would need a digital breath analyzer with an output port (something akin to a usb port, which if it exists is going to be massively expensive), which would subsequently plug into a laptop that is always running (which must be plugged into the car, probably through the cigarette lighter plug).

Frankly, it's overkill. Simple robotics could solve this problem a lot easier. And if you and your friends have enough extra money to throw around to try to make this work, i know of a friendly forum responder who could use a new car...

You should check with the device manufacturer. They provide APIs for interfacing their device with your program.

well, if you get something to plug into the computer that you can blow in and test the air preassure then you wont get problems... but the only problems you will have is to get the hardware.
