On average in Britain, men live to 77.2 and women to 81.5...
"Middle" implies half and therefore 38.6 for men, and 40.75 for women.

However, somebody determined that our perception of time accelerates as we age, so that we perceive time to be moving faster. Our perceived middle age is around 27.

How did it get to be 2009 so soon? I'll be a hundred before I know it.
Make as many mistakes as you can as quickly as you can. We want to make sure that we make a great enough number of mistakes in a given amount of time so that we can be successful.

Guess it's when this start making sense:
Edward Cole: Here's something to remember when you're older Thomas - never pass up a bathroom, never waste a hard-on, and never trust a fart.
Thomas: I'll remember that when I start "decrepitating" sir.
...or maybe when you start posting stuff like this?
