[RESOLVED] WebConfig from 3.5 to 3.0 issues
Guys,
I've developed a website that started life in .net3.5 but then I had to take it back to 3.0. I developed this on my laptop which runs both.
I'm now trying to get this website working on an IIS server but am seeing issues with the webconfig. I don't really understand the webconfig and the one I have seems overly complex... but I can see references to 3.5 dlls here. How can I sort this? Do I need to edit the webconfig manually before copying it onto the server.... if so how/what/where.
Thanks in advance,
Bob

Re: WebConfig from 3.5 to 3.0 issues
You can remove the web.config file and re-add it. Then start re-adding portions from the original web.config into the new one.
But what you do really depends on the issues you're having.

Re: WebConfig from 3.5 to 3.0 issues
I have this running the default page now, that doesnt have much content. As soon as I get to a richer page I get the "Errors on page, do you want to continue running scripts on this page" and it doesn't load.
It gives line numbers in this bit of the page source..... so I'm guessing this is related to the ajax tabcontainer I have on the page. But, I thought I'd installed Ajax extensions and toolkit on the server ok. I've highlighted the line numbers it errors on.
Any suggestions?

What does the markup for that page look like? Have you added a toolscriptmanager?

Re: WebConfig from 3.5 to 3.0 issues
I sorted this by creating a new website from the AjaxToolkitTemplate, made sure it was running for .net2, then took the web config and adding in the extra I needed.

Well, I suppose that was the cleaner approach
