[RESOLVED] Searching for resolved threads.
I was just wondering - Is there a way to do a search for only resolved threads? If there isn't can it be added?

Re: Searching for resolved threads.
Within the advanced search window you could change the "Search by Key Word" to "Search Titles Only", then include [RESOLVED] in the search string, and then what you are wanting to search for:
i.e. [RESOLVED] Using FileStream
However, this approach is flawed in that not everyone includes the problem that they are having in the title of their post.
Not sure if that helps of not.

It does help gep13. It's a handy tip to know. Yeah I can see how this approach is flawed. But with some carefully chosen words maybe I can get around that flaw a little bit to produce better results. Thanks for the help.

Re: [RESOLVED] Searching for resolved threads.
What about just [RESOLVED]? That surely would show all the threads with "Resolved" in the title!
when you quote a post could you please do it via the "Reply With Quote" button or if it multiple post click the "''+" button then "Reply With Quote" button.
If this thread is finished with please mark it "Resolved" by selecting "Mark thread resolved" from the "Thread tools" drop-down menu.

Re: [RESOLVED] Searching for resolved threads.
Hey,
My assumption was that the OP wanted to see the RESOLVED threads for a particular topic, not just all RESOLVED threads. Hence the additional words in the search string.

Good point Nightwalker83 I should have been a bit more specific. My bad. gep13 made the correct assumption though so the gold medal goes to him.

This is feedback, let's please keep the noise to a minimum.
More to the thread - most people want to know the unresolved threads. Why do you want to search for all of those that are resolved?
Brad!

Brad!
I deem it that the OP wants to filter those threads that already has a solution to a particular problem.

Sure thing boss.
Why do you want to search for all of those that are resolved?
