Grand Total Question
Hi,
I have a cross tab with the following:
--------------Jan --- Feb --- Mar --- Apr ---May --- Jun ---- Jul
P.Jones -------20 --- 12 --- 12 --------45 ---12 ----87 ----- 23
A.Smith -------22 --- 11 --- 77 --------56 ---43 ---- 98 ----- 86
T.Taylor -------45 --- 54 --- 21 --------21 ---98 ---- 43 ----- 54
I would like to add an average of each column in one row at the bottom of the cross tab. Sort of like a Grand Total - but an average (not total). is it possible to change the grand total to an average, or is it possible to inert just one row at the bottom of the cross tab that does this please?
This is required:
--------------Jan --- Feb --- Mar --- Apr ---May --- Jun ---- Jul
P.Jones -------20 --- 12 --- 12 --------45 ---12 ----87 ----- 23
A.Smith -------22 --- 11 --- 77 --------56 ---43 ---- 98 ----- 86
T.Taylor -------45 --- 54 --- 21 --------21 ---98 ---- 43 ----- 54
Average -------23 --- 34 --- 11---------30----66---- -34----- 54
Thanks

Re: Grand Total Question
A Cross Tab report can display/create multiple summary fields.
On the Format Cross Tab screen
Select the field from the Available Field list that you wish to summarize.
Click the Add Summarized Field button
Click the Change Summary button
Select Average from the Drop Down
Click Ok. Click OK
Each Row/Col cell should now have two values. In the Row line, suppess the control that displays the Average value. In the Grand Total line, suppress the control that displays the Sum value.

Thanks, its working now. Is there a way to move my average column from the left + top to right + bottom?

Re: Grand Total Question
The options to position the Row/Col Totals are available in the Customize Style tab on the Format Cross-Tab screen.
