IT Networking - Windows Server
I have always been interested in IT Networking, managing servers, etc. The only thing that has discouraged me from wanting this career is Linux. I cant stand linux, and i feel like i have to know linux to be in the profession.
If i master in only the Windows Server Family, then will I still have a chance at a good career?

Yeah but then you're limiting yourself. If you want to get into networking then you need to overcome your... loathing. I'm pretty sure you shouldn't be restricting yourself right at the beginning of your career, you can probably get to do it later.

I'd have to disagree, I have barely touched Linux and I am an experienced IT network/server admin earning a decent wage and still finding it interesting.
Lets face it, most of the world uses Windows. So you can easily have a career as an IT Professional only touching microsoft products.

Yeah but it has not in any way helped my career... it was simply me trying to help one of our clients out during their transition from Linux to windows. It was interesting to work on a non-windows system for once but I certainly wouldn't say it has had any effect at all on my IT job role/career and I would be in exactly the same place as I am now if I hadnt ever touched it

Hmm, all the companies I've ever been to or worked for have always had dual-OS admins. They've always had to know both, and get all sorts of certification including the CCIE and SCJP yadda yadda.

Well I'm assuming you live in America and maybe things are different over there but all of the companies I have ever worked for or worked with, have been purely windows based.
