[RESOLVED] Negative Rating

Hello there,

Is it only moderators that can give a negative rating to a poster on these forums?

The reason that I ask is that there have been a couple of posts recently that I thought were very rude (not chit-chat), and not in keeping with the spirit of these forums, but when I went to rate the poster as such, I wasn't able to. All I got was approve.

Correct - only certain people can do negative ratings.

If you find an inappropriate post, then use the "Report Bad Post" link. That is the little triangle with the exclamation mark in it (). That will go to the moderators and admins.

If my memory is not hazy then all Power Posters, Moderators and Admins could give a negative rating.

I believe this is correct; I believe I'm considered a "Power Poster" and I have the ability to give out negative ratings. This makes sense in my opinion otherwise you'd have folks who've only committed the minimal amount to have their ratings mean something and then give out negative ratings to folks who didn't just "give them code".
