Re: [2008] Mobile Development
You should be able to run the app from VS which will provide an emulator, this comes with the mobile development SDK.

Oh if you want to test on your device, simply sync the application from the sync center.

Re: [2008] Mobile Development
What version of os would I need for what framework :-/ Ok lets say I buy this device for messing around with
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HTC-S620-t-mobile-mda-dash-WINDOWS-MOBILE-6-1_W0QQitemZ320335016739QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_MobilePhones_MobilePhones?hash=item320335016739&_trksid =p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1690|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318
Would that work ok with 2008 framework?

Re: [2008] Mobile Development
I belive 2.0 (Compact Framework that is) is what is used for 5 and above, although if you have VS05/08 and 2.0 installed you should be good to go! You do need the SDK for each version though so in the case of a WM5 device you would need the WM5 SDK and for WM6/6.1 I belive the WM6SDK is the one.
Here is the SDK link which also has the emulator!

Re: [RESOLVED] [2008] Mobile Development
Back again,
The app I'm writing for the mobile requires bluetooth. How would the emulator respond to this? Ie can I still test using the BlueTooth card on the PC?
Thanks

Re: [RESOLVED] [2008] Mobile Development
Hi Pino,
Sorry, I was in work, personally I would use a real handset to test that sort of functionality as the emulator is quite limited in that regard. I would probably pick up a cheap WM5 and WM6 device on ebay for testing purposes. In fact while I do have the emulator I have always tested on a real handset!
