Resolved [RESOLVED] Viewing Visual Basic Forum in IE 8

    Hi,

I don't know if this is important or not since Internet Explorer 8 is only in its infant stage. However, when the forum is viewed in IE 8 it is misaligned:

Anyhow, I'm hoping that the staff here are able to fix the display. The forum could use a bit of a face lift!

VBF runs off vBulletin so a lot of it depends on whether vBulletin clean up first!

Ah ok! I have never used vBulletin so I wouldn't know how difficult it is to configure.

Is that mess able to be fixed through normal web site style means example css? Or is it something else? Viewing the forum in IE 8 makes it difficult to log-in to the forum. Every time you click on the text boxs you might accidently one of the sponser links.

Yep, its just badly coded HTML/CSS.

p.s. get a new theme for this site. It was ugly 3 years ago.

Long time no talk! I have the same problem with some websites I created at tafe a couple of years ago. However, those website should only an extra style sheet for IE8 height, and width values. One thing that seems to be the same in all versions of Internet Explorer is that each version displays the same website differently.

Well! The forum now aligns correctly now in Internet Explorer 8, I'm guessing either coding improved (using version 8.0.6 at the moment) or the forum code was fixed. Either way this thread is now resolved.
