Spell check the Net!
I need help with spell-checking the internet. You've probably noticed how much of the web's content is poorly worded, punctuated and spelled. It's about time someone did something.
So we should break it up into managable chunks. Please try to have it done by this time tomorrow, ideally we should be able to do this faster than new data is added to the internet.
Me: Facebook, blogspot and Flickr
Kregg: Wikipedia
Timeshifter: MSDN
Mendhak: MySpace
Volunteers required please...
I don't live here any more.

Let's give kregg BBCNews.com as well, it won't need much effort either.

Re: Spell check the Net!
Those are mostly 4 letter words, so that should be easy enough.

Not for him. He'll probably need a dictionary or two and a book on physiology.
My usual boring signature: Nothing

Re: Spell check the Net!
This is actually an intriguing idea. If I ever run into a large sum of money that allows me to just not work for a few years, I will develop an application that scans sites for spelling mistakes, prepare a report and e-mail it to the respective web master.

E-Mail addresses and most URLs would obviously be filtered out.

webmaster@domain typically works.
When it doesn't... scan the site for addresses and randomly send it?

And overnight you'll become the world's #1 email spam king. The NSA will abseil through your bedroom window at 2:47am, pepper spray you in all exposed orifices and waterboard you in a CIA dungeon for 6 years until you "giv dem t3h codz" (they will address you in l33t-speek because they will assume you to be a 14-year old with a drug problem).
I say go for it.
