Programming Textbook?
I've been coding semi-full-time for almost 3 years now. I've read through a lot of books (Wrox Rocks!), and I'm currently beginning my prep to get a few MCTS certifications.
I realized, though, that I lack information in the more basic, general programming area.
Does anyone know of a good college-type CS101 textbook that goes into more of the general concepts of program development, application lifecycle, project management type of stuff?
I'm pretty good as far as getting knowledge for "How do I do so-and-so?" (I code in VB, so this site is awesome!), but I want to become a more well-rounded programmer in general. Plus, I'm hoping the additional knowledge will help me know when to use one technique over another, especially when I know both techniques and both would work.
Any suggestions?
