-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It's time again ladies and gentlemen for the 3rd installment of our photography contest. As always we have the same prizes (none) and so it's all about honor, glory and ego.
You enter by submitting photographs to me and I will accept them in any of following three ways:
Upload the photos to Flikr and post the links in this thread. Optionally include a short description for each photo.
If the pictures are small enough, put each one in a zip file and attach it to this thread. As with Flikr, optionally include a short description.
Upload the photos (all in one zip or rar file if possible) to senduit. When using senduit it's important to select the "Expire in" period before you upload. Please choose an "Expire in" period of at least 3 days. After you do that, post the link that senduit will give you here, and again include descriptions if you like.
Here are the rules:
You may submit up to 5 photos.
The photos must be by you (honor system)
No "changing your mind" so think about which ones you want to submit.
No photos that previously placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd in any of the previous contests will be accepted.
Voting will begin after the contest closes (see below) and the voting will be by PM to me.
Only members who joined prior to the creation of this thread will be allowed to vote.
Voting for yourself will not be allowed.
You may vote only once.
Using PMs or emails to encourage people to vote for you is not allowed and I will consider that grounds for disqualification
Contest Winners:
1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will be determined on the basis of total points awarded to a photograph. The total points will be calculated using the following formula for each photo: (10 x the number of 1st place votes) + (5 x the number of 2nd place votes) + (3 x the number of 3rd place votes).
Best Photographer will be awarded to the photographer whose photos (as a group) garner the most total points.
Miscellaneous:
The contest will close when 100 photographs have been received or Noon PST (GMT -8), February 6th, 2009 whichever comes first.
I will upload the photographs as they are available to an account that I have on ImageEvent.
As soon as the first photos are submitted, I will provide a link to the photos.

Sorry but your flickr account does not seem to be set up to allow me to download the pictures.
I had a setting that limited downloads to users on my contact list. I have changed that to include everyone.
If you try now, you should be able to download the photos.

Yes, but when I click on the picture to see the large size I get the message posted above.
I can view the pictures as a guest (in other words not logged in) so unless someone else reports the same problem I have to assume it's a problem with your browser.
Thanks. I will change the setting back to what it was.

Disqualified! You didn't zip your attachment! As per stated rules!
Ohhh... I thought zip was for more than single file.

Here's my five. There's a bee picture and a balloon picture not unlike the ones I entered in the last contest.

This contest has some really good photos and it also has some photos that are not as good. Isn't that amazing!
