Heath Deadger
Heath Ledger is apparently going to get some kind of movie award. Whoop de doo.
"It is so poignant that he receives this award nearly a year after his untimely death."
I have to things to point out...
1 - It's not as if he cured cancer or fixed US/Vietnamese relations. He was an actor. Big deal, I can think of plenty of dead actors better than him.
2 - He died of a drug overdose, I think death is actually very timely when it comes immediately after stuffing half of Glaxo down your neck.
That said, he was actually pretty good in that Batman film.
I don't live here any more.

A week after my grandmother, that spotlight-hogging dastard (him, not her).
Laugh, and the world laughs with you. Cry, and you just water down your vodka.
Take credit, not responsibility

Re: Heath Deadger
Actually, this is highly significant. Some study showed that people who win the Academy Award actually have longer average lifespans than non-winning actors.
From this fact, you can draw any number of conclusions. Here are a few possibilities:
1) The academy is trying to get the average back in line with the general population.
2) His corpse will rot slower.
3) They are hoping he will return to life so that he can star in the sequel.
4) The worms will reap the benefit, such that there will be some reallllllllly OLD worms around.
5) Somebody wants to see whether this alters the death certificate by even a minute or two.
Who knows.
My usual boring signature: Nothing

He's not returning my calls or emails either. But then again nor does anyone else.
