New Dev Team 2.0
Hey,
For a couple of years now I've ran a developer team. We have focussed on a couple of applications in particular.
Disk Assist, was a portable tool with added modules (which enhanced the app) that allowed a user to take his settings and software to any pc. It worked off a flash disk and was built in VB6.
Our ad blocker worked like a charm, using the HOSTS file to redirect calls to localhost and running a small web server we created, the tool worked like a dream and many used it. This was built in vb6. Now it's moved to .NET and it's bleeding edge, for example, we are constantly facing challenges such as bypassing Windows Defender's 'HOSTS change detection' (which we achieved) and improving Vista performance.
Now, I am interested in upgrading to VB.net. The team currently consists of 1graphics developer. I need developers and people with ideas:
- Someone to develop a nice xhtml and css website.
- People who are fluent in C# or VB.NET
- People who would like to translate to make our apps multilingual
- People to design GUIS
- People to administer and become mods on forums.
- People to help promote our software a little.
- And later, people to beta test.
My developer team has recently changed name, we have several domains, and a dedicated server (Windows) with ASP.net 3.5, Php 5.2.6, MySQL 5.1. Me myself, I am good at programming, but would not have developed the apps I have today without this forum, my next project after the .NET version of Ad Blocker is completed is a web based server administration control panel like Plesk. It will have modules to attach to it to administer different things (e.g. DBs)
Today, I have no website set up but I am planning to design some soon. Who is interested in becoming part of a great dev team? You all get an email address or if you wish a forward, and we communicate via our chat room, forums and MSN/Skype/ICQ etc.
Thank you, and I hope you join.
Sam

Hello,
I have moderate knowledge in VB and a good bit in Web Design and Development. I also have graphic design experience as well.
As for leadership experience, I administer my own forums which are relatively new at http://www.forum.iquorum.net
