JAR is short for Java Archive. Using a Java tool to compress an executable has nothing to do with VB. The fact that the executable was written in VB in the first place is irrelevant. You would create a JAR file the same way whether you're compressing an EXE created with VB, an EXE created with Java, an EXE created with C++, a text file or whatever.

You wouldn't post a question about vacuuming your car in a Ferrari forum just because your car happens to be a Ferrari. Vacuuming a car is the same regardless of the model of car so it's a vacuuming issue, not a Ferrari issue.
