[RESOLVED] File Not Found Error - strange....

I've got one user who when he attempts to open a screen in my app he gets the error message 'File Not Found'. The strange thing is the screen he's attempting to open doesn't open/copy/delete etc... any files.

Below is the code:
The screen shot he sent me said the error occurred on line 50

You could be using external controls in that form which does not exists? Or is it not opening any kind of files? If it is okay then you could attach that form here so we could take a look?

1) either recompile your exe and give it to him or
2) upload the exact snapshot of the error

Do you get the same error when you try it at your end? or at any other pc at your end?

The form has a picture box, 2 combo boxes and a control called RMChart (for graphing things.) I presume the error is being caused by the RMChart.ocx file (as that is the only external file being used) but I have emailed that file directly and got him to save it to C:\Windows\Systems32 and then registered the file which he said displayed a message saying 'Successed'. Even after doing this the error still occurs.

I've done this a few times after adding extra coding to trap the error.

No, not on my development machine but if I delete the RMChart.ocx file from another machine I get a similar error message. (also attached error1.jpg).

Why don't you just make an installer of your application so its dependencies would be properly registered?

My installer does register all required dependencies. This guy is the only one getting an error from around 250 users.

Did you use RMChart in other forms as well? Perhaps he could test if the other forms are showing or not. Or probably a reinstall? Or that different OS could probably causing it?

I have only used RMChart on the form he gets an error with.

I might create a new app with only the RMChart control on it and see if he gets the same file not found error as well.

Yes, that should be the best thing that you could do to determine if RMChart is the culprit or not.

I've just sent the guy a new EXE just with the RMChart control added to a form. It will be interesting to see if he gets the same error message.

I got the guy to download and install the setup file direct from the RMChart website which solved the issue.
