It was about this time last year that I discovered a hitherto unknown fondness for designing machines specifically to generate high levels of torque at low speeds. Naturally, my inspiration was the three-wheel Ivel design made famous by Dan Albone (Danny to his friends). While unpopular at first, these gasoline-powered machines began to catch on in the 1910s when they became smaller and more affordable. I devised some truly ingenious machines but my work was never taken seriously. As time passed I grew tired of this and so stopped. I took up being grumpy and misanthropic instead.
