Upgrading my .NET framework
Hi all,
The system I'm working with is Windows CE.NET and it appears to use .NET 1.1. Based on what I've seen when the OS is built, the .NET 1.1 is included in the CE.NET (which I'm guessing is the OS?).
Is there a way I can upgrade to a later version of the .NET framework (ideally maybe 3.5) without upgrading CE.NET?
I'm not sure I'm understanding how all the various .NET pieces are related. Maybe if I got that I could answer my own question. But if CE.NET is the OS (akin to WinXP in a larger system) then I should be able to upgrade my .NET framework just like I can in a larger system, right?
I'm so confused!!!

Re: Upgrading my .NET framework
I think it does at that.
So when they say
"The Microsoft® .NET Compact Framework 3.5 Redistributable includes everything you need to test .NET Compact Framework 1.0, 2.0 and 3.5 applications."
Does that also mean it contains everything I'd need to run a 3.5 app as well?
I'm sorry for the stupidity of the question but I want to make sure I understand before I bring the idea up with the boss.
Thanks!!!
