Related more to windows, but it's the way I send alerts from my apps...

Does anyone know if Net send uses domain authentication to send its messages?

We have an app that runs automated under a certain user. User changed his domain password, doesn't unlock or logoff the automation machine, so any windows authentication based connections out would fail. i'm trying to determine if he recieved the NetSend from my app and just didn't pay attn, or if the net sends don't go out in this scenario. anyone know?

I thought net send worked via DNS for sending, and assumed it would accept any messages on the receiving side.
