What is Sim-Chat?

Sim-Chat will be a new messenger that has been in development since 7/24/07 in Visual Basic 6 and will take the internet by suprise. Not only will it have all the basics of a normal instant messenger, but it will also have features such as Avatar Chats, Battle Chats, using DirectX 8.1 ,a keyword system similar to AOL where people can enter a keyword and find a section of sim-chat that is created by other users through scripting, extended profiles similar to myspace, File Archives with games and software to download, online journal/blog/diary, online organizer, built in free multiplayer games, a non web browser based forum, and much much more.



Files are to large to upload threw forums so you can download them threw my webserver.

Sim-Chat has
Buddy List with ability to add new buddy groups and buddys to groups.
Away Messages and Idle State like on aim after xx ammount of time
Instant Messaging - Message unlimited ammount of people
Multiple Chat-Rooms - join unlimited ammount of chat rooms, register chat rooms, view owned chat rooms and more
- Users can set chat room modes
- Users can view chat room modes.
- Users can register chat rooms.
- Users can drop chat rooms.
- Users can give chat rooms to other people.
- Users can view a list of all owned chat rooms.
Forums Create and post on a non-webbrowser based forum.
Try to reconnect after being disconnected from server
File Transfer that works (doesnt show kb/sec) just transfers the file. Can have unlimited file transfers from people.

as of now, the client just connects to your own computer "localhost" many things needs to be updated/changed.

I just downloaded the source for the newest version? Whichever is up for download on your site. Most of it's alright, your connection could do with some work.

Encrypted send would be something you may want to look into for future releases. This will keep most people from sniffing out conversations in your packets.

Hiding forms when permission restricts them (Friend list after disconnect). Also the use of the 'Unload_Query' sub for the client list (or anything else) when you want to close it. This will allow you to close it to system tray.

Optional information on the registry form, and auto-add if they didn't complete them ie. Unknown for 'Here For'.

I'm sure there's more I can find, but I'll leave it at that for now. It does look good though ::thumbs up::

Of course it costs. But its preatty cheap depending on wich site you choose.
