Re: VB.net vs C#
no, the only languages i am aware of that will are java, c++ and realbasic
i think that linux has mono for .net tho so any .net language can be ported over to linux, but i dont' think it's complete yet.

Re: VB.net vs C#
Personal choice.
There are very few differences between the .Net languages (particularly C# and VB.Net), so choosing one over the other is pretty much based on the syntax you prefer.

Re: VB.net vs C#
Its a misconception that C# is better. Most C#'ers may come from a C background which is a more advanced language. So they feel that when they are on C# its "just better" then VB.NET although they both share the same common Framework. Same .NET Framework with the syntaxes different is like our own languages we speak. They all allow us to communicate and get the job done but no one can say English is better then Spanish for ex.

Re: [RESOLVED] VB.net vs C#
Going back the the question, it is true you can get c# working on linux through the use of MONO. I'm not sure if they have created a VB.Net port yet.

C# and others are supported (with limited features): http://www.mono-project.com/Languages
VB is supported a bit less at the moment: http://www.mono-project.com/Visual_Basic
