[RESOLVED] Sending SMS from POCKET PC!

Hi everyone,

I'm quite new with smart device developing, and I have tried a lot to send an SMS from my Hp IPAQ -windows mobile 2003 using my mobile phone N95-Nokia, but with no success. I have also tried to send a message through my IPAQ to my mobile, and use my IPaq as a IR keyboard via bluetooth , but also with no use , Please ! does anyone can help me with that! How should I connect my IPaq to my cell phone and send an sms message.
Does anyone wrote some code for this problem??

You would need to open a bluetooth serial port to your Nokia, and then send the 'AT' modem commands needed to send an SMS message.

http://www.freewareppc.com/communication/easysms.shtml does a similar job

I operated the bluetooth in my phone and in my pocket pc , but I don't know how to send a message from pocket pc to my phone via bluetooth.

Do you know whats the setting should be with this program?
Did you tried to write a code for this problem ,or succeed with sending sms from this program , if so, please tell me exactly what did you do.

Hi,
don't know what the setting should be - depends on your device, phone and bluetooth settings, but I remember it being fairly easy to do.

Not used it for 3 or 4 years, as I use PocketPC pro devices, complete with phone

Does anyone know how to send an sms using pocket pc and a mobile phone as a modem?!?
Please its very important.

I also have another question , Is it possible to define my pocket pc as a IR keyboard , and use my pocket pc keyboard to write messages and transfer them via IR to my mobile phone and it will enter into a message text so I can send an SMS using my pocket pc keyboard , Is it a dream? or It can be done?!

I already told you the answer - you need to use the bluetooth serial port to the phone, and then use AT commands to send text messages. Or you can use IR and do the same thing.

Also, the software I pointed you at does EXACTLY this.

There is a library here which may help you.

I've checked the library and finally succeed after a lot of efforts,
Now I'm writing a tutorial for other newbies for how to connect your phone to your pocket pc and send an SMS. and I'll publish it .
