Re: C# Developers = Elitist?
Congrats on the new job TG!
Where I'm at now is a C# shop (still do my consulting business on nights and weekends). They have alot of legacy VB6 apps that run the majoity of the business and are absolute mission critical. I believe they are focussed on C# because most of the new engineers are C#'ers. We have a few VB.NET apps that I hope to expand by rewritting the VB6 ones into VB.NET.
If you dont try to keep up with technology then both your skills and career will be left behind eventually. We have weekly meetings on new technology, sent several engineers to the PDC and are running 2008/3.5.
