    [Serious] Michael Crichton Died

    Michael Crichton Died at age 66

    He was one of my favorite authors.

    That's a real loss. The guy was a total head case, but he was a terrific writer who could take very complicated issues and present them in a way that people could really get their heads around.

    I've read some of his books. He's a great suspense and science-based fiction writer.

    This day is both great and sad. Obama has won, which makes it great, but Crichton has died, which makes it sad.

    Never read any of his books, but I have seen the First Great Train Robbery,
    which I believe he also directed, thoroughly enjoyed it.

    "Prey" is a great read. Not a literary masterpiece, but why it hasn't been made into a movie yet is beyond me. Half of it could be computer generated.

    I agree if they pulled off the movie it could be epic. Very good book
