    So just because some bits and pieces have been ported to another OS, it makes that OS similar? Unbelievable!

    In that case, Windows is like Mac OS X because they can both play SPORE!

    The SFU consists of Unix components that make platform-independent applications play with a nice set of consistent components.

    Spore is a game. Your analogies leave much to be desired.

    Re: Windows is like Unix

    Code:
    Mac OSX    ->    Vista
    Widgets       ->    Gadgets
    iCal             ->    Windows Calendar
    Windows is like Mac, because it had stolen most of its cool features...

    I'm suprised you looked into my analogies. I was just starting to get used to a facepalm image and/or a fail image.

    It goes both ways too
    Code:
    Vista                        ->            Mac OS X
    Shadow Copies           ->           Timemachine
    Windows Search         ->            Spotlight

    Apple was a pioneer of lots of amazing, useful things. They pioneered "thinnovation", which has now left young girls even more self conscious.

    Thanks, Apple!!

    Technically, I started to concept of widgets, when I used to embed old clocks into discarded apples, and have them appear on my desk whenever I executed a random key combination.

    Anyone who has ever been an economics class knows that economics classes invented the widget.

    Anybody who didn't give a toss about when and where widgets were made would stop reading this thread about...

    With that analogy, they both suck.
