Microsot Pocket PC version 3.0 VS ActiveSync 4.5 under WindowsXP (need your help)

I hope someone can help me with this problem.

I am using an old barcode scanner to scan barcode for inventory.
I cannot use the scanner after upgraded to ActiveSync 4.5 under
WindowsXP.
The barcode scanner uses Microsot Pocket PC version 3.0.11171. The scan
wedge program in the barcode scanner has been disabled after a cold
boot (reset to factory default).
I can see all the necessary files and scan wedge program in "Application" under ActiveSync 4.5.
But Pocket PC version 3.0.11171 has no selection for "Application", this version of Pocket PC only has "Program" on the scanner selection.

How can I transfer the application program to the Pcoket PC "program"
and run the scan wedge program on the pocket PC?
Can you suggest a simple step to enable the scan wedge in the Pocket PC?

P.S I cannot download any program from the web to run on my PC (it is my PC at work and download program is forbidden).

that version is Pocket PC2002 - and according to Microsoft then this is supported using ActiveSync4.5

Have you got an installer for your program? What is it written in? Does your device connect using Activesync? If so, you can use 'explore', and drag and drop files from the PC to the Device.

Right now the ActieSync allow me to imoprt and export excel files to the scanner from desktop.
However, I cannot scan.
In order for me to scann barcode data, I have to enable the scanner with scan wedge.
I had done it before and I know if scan wedge is installed then I can scan.
But scan wedge won't run if I add scan wedge program as file to my Pocket PC. After I tab on the scan wedge file, it will run and then produce error message.

I believe it is an easy step just to run scan wedge in my Pocket PC but I forgot the step.

Sorry - in that case I don't know - but what is the error message?

You tried the manufacturers site?
