    Forums

I am looking for ideas for a PHP/MySQL forum software that I can use on my website that does not require users to register. I'm not really sure how to explain this. It doesn't have to be an advanced forum, though if it could still have the appearance of vbulletin or Invision, that would be great.

The most important thing is that I want a forum that a guest to my website can post on, submitting their name at the time of the post. Don't need IM or any of that extra stuff.

    Thanks in advance,

    -Minolwen

    Re: Forums

As far as I know forums like vBulletin and phpBB do have the option to allow guest posting.

    Re: Forums

Thank you for answering. Do you happen to know if both or either allow the guest to type in a name at the time of posting? I don't want to use registration at all in this project but really rather not have a forum full of "guest0012, guest92383, etc...".

I would just try it but I'm not sure of any running applications of these forums that allow guests to post. I've tried scouring the internet for mods that mention this sort of configuration but came up short there as well.
