    Arrow Free Forum?

    I was asked to become a moderator in our locality's chit-chat forum but somehow it is being infiltrated by robots, I am looking for a credible alternative to it, have you guys any recommendation?

    What does being ask to mod a forum have to do with that forums being spammed by bots?

    Anyway, what forum software is it using? There tools available to vBullentin admins (that us mere mortals are not privy to) that assist with this problem. I assume other forums software vendors have similiar features built into their products.

    They want me to take care of it, that is to stop those bots.

    They have since removed it but I think it was phpBB sort of. Are there free ones from vBulletin?

    From vBullentin, I don't think the software is free, but I also don't think it is all that expensive.

    vBulleting is not free. Its $180 for a owned license and $90 for a 1 year lease.

    phpBB is not that good IMO as most things that are free dont get the development because of that.
