    Resolved [Resolved] Someone is owning port 80

    I installed XAMPP and tried to install Apache as a service and it said "Ports 80 or 443 is (SSL) already in use! Installing Apache2.2 service failed!". I installed Apache and uninstalled it before installing XAMPP. Maybe the uninstallation didn't clean properly, so maybe that's the case. But how do I remove the service owning port 80? When I netstat -n, I don't see port 80 being used. When I look at Services, I don't see Apache there. Any help? Thanks a lot.

    Thanks Adam for pointing me /ab and it's showing inetinfo (IIS) is locking it. Need to kill IIS. Again, thanks!

    No problem
    PHP || MySql || Apache || Get Firefox || OpenOffice.org || Click || Slap ILMV || 1337 c0d || GotoMyPc For FREE! Part 1, Part 2

    | PHP Session --> Database Handler * Custom Error Handler * Installing PHP * HTML Form Handler * PHP 5 OOP * Using XML * Ajax * Xslt | VB6 Winsock - HTTP POST / GET * Winsock - HTTP File Upload

    Latest quote: crptcblade - VB6 executables can't be decompiled, only disassembled. And the disassembled code is even less useful than I am.
