my favourite player at the moment is Fabien Bartez (Man. Utd.'s Goal Keeper) he is very funny and I have never seen a Goalie leave the area as often (I mean to go all the way up the pitch) In a recent match (Man Utd Vs. Man City) there was a penalty. Bartez runs up the ppitch to ask if he can take it. I have seen him take free kicks about 3/4 of the way up the pitch. And i have seen him come out of his area and take the ball past strikers with little or no effort. He is cool.

Some people have told me they don't think a fat penguin really embodies the grace of Linux, which just tells me they have never seen a angry penguin charging at them in excess of 100mph. They'd be a lot more careful about what they say if they had.

Where's Ronaldo or Owen (So he plays for liverpool but he is still good) and Chadwick (ok, i know he isn't the 'Best' but he shows so much potential) I personally think Scholes is better than Beckham. (I like Man Itd. anyone guess!?!)

jamagei, all good points, here r the explainations:
chadwick: 2 young, but has potential
owen: is crap!! he is nowhere near as good a "footballer", if i did one 4 greatest striker then he would b in the top-10 (maybe)
ronaldo: this is an "at present" poll, and the buck tooth wonder is not yet back 2 his best, if i were 2 include him, i would have 2 include allessandro del piero (both were the greatest in the world b4 their respective injuries)
scholes: he is better than beckham, probably, but beckham is better known (not everyone follows football like us) and he has a good-looking wife!!
and as a fellow man utd fan, i think we rule!! we have bought van nistelrooy, now we have 2 buy keiron dyer, mart poom, sol campbell and ian harte. and we should buy david healy back, he kicks ass!!

Ronaldo mebbe 2 years ago. Owen has only become consistant over the last few months. I would rate Gerrard over Owen on current form anyway.
Why so many Manure fans in Bristol?????

I didn't vote beacuse I don't watch enough European football. The only person I could comment on would be Beckham. I guess if pushed I would go for Rivaldo...

I voted for Beckham. I don't watch that much European football either (don't have time) But i know they are all damn good, but i stayed loyal (not that i am a huge fan but I follow the team)
Sol Campbell is a damn good player.
Yes that is what I said about Chadwick, Potential.
And i didn't realise it was 'Present Footballers' Sorry my mistake.
