    Question HDD Space?

    I'm confused... My Hard Drive only has 7.8GB space. Well, when I go to find files and folders, and I don't put anything in the search box and just press enter, it finds the first 10,000 files and folders. When I choose Edit/Select all, and right click on them I go to properties. And even though they are the first 10,000 items, it goes well over my HDD Space capacity. Why is that? Take a look at the attachment. I remember one time it said that the total size of the files was about 17GB!!!

    maybe you have a compressed drive?

    writing software in C++ is like driving rivets into steel beam with a toothpick.
    writing haskell makes your life easier:
    reverse (p (6*9)) where p x|x==0=""|True=chr (48+z): p y where (y,z)=divMod x 13
    To throw away OOP for low level languages is myopia, to keep OOP is hyperopia. To throw away OOP for a high level language is insight.

    I think it might include all the files in zips as well. Cos when I did that, it returned 10,000 files, but in the Properties, it counted something like 80,000 files.

    Question

    No, my HDD is not compressed. Well, for me it includes everything including folders and files for the first 10,000 files and inside the folders in includes all the stuff so that's why it says 80,000-something files!

    Strange thing though...
