CR9 - Design Problem
I have the Data in access like this:
custID phoneNo PhoneType
1 -----11236 ---LandLineOffice
1 ------98685 ---Mobile
2 ------98675 ---Mobile
2 ------22357 ---LandlineResi
3 ------22567 ---LandLineOffice
3 ------223554 --LandlineResi
etc.. (dotted lines dont exist)
In the report I want in this format
CustID Mobile Land Line Office Land Line Residence
There is more if the LLOff/LLRes/mob is empty no line must be left empty.
so in the above eg I should get:
CustID Mobile Land Line Office Land Line Residence
1 -----98685 --11236
2 -----98675 -----------------22357
3 -----------22567 -----------223554
dotted lines not reqd
could somebody help me find a solution

Re: CR9 - Design Problem
Add 3 Detail Sections.
1) Place the CustId, Phone # field. Suppress If PhoneType <> Mobile
2) Place the Phone # field at the appropriate place, Suppress if PhoneType <> LandLineOffice
3) Place the Phone # field at the appropriate place, Suppress if PhoneType <> LandLineResi
For Detail Section 1 and 2, set the section option Underlay Following Sections.

Re: CR9 - Design Problem
Thanks Bruce but the problem continues...
eg. A customer has both LLR & Mob then the data comes out as
custID LLR LLO MOB
1------123
---------------555
see the second phone is printed in the next line
But the requirement is..
custID LLR LLO MOB
1------123----555
All phones must come in the same line
Note:
1. I put the custID only in the details a section and set it to supress if duplicated.
2. phone LLR is in details a with necessary suppress as suggested by you
3. phone LLO is in details b with necessary suppress as suggested by you
4. phone MOB is in details c with necessary suppress as suggested by you
Underlays of a & b done
