    I believe that has to be on the server side, go to http://www.linkprojects.net for a good ASP counter (if your web host supports ASP that is).

    they should support CGI or perl, if so you can get counters that are easy to install and work without textboxes. there is a lot of websites that have free cgi scripts for you to download, just search for them, if you can't find any I will be happy to put a couple of lins for ya.
