    Weird error when installing Visual C++

    This is the error here,

    I have visual Basic 2008 Express edition installed right now, i have no idea what is causing this

    What is the OS that you are installing i on?

    If its Vista then you need to run the installer as Administrator.

    I am using Windows XP, I am trying to install it on my Vista partition as we speak, I am administrator, I am running Windows XP SP3 on the original Disk

    I can't remember where (Might be right on the root of the system drive), but setup does create a log file which will have more information than the UI screen you see there.

    So you have a dual boot system or running one inside the other using virtual pc or such?

    No just a normal dual boot from BIOS using 2 partitions

    Is it from a CD or download? Could be a bad file.

    Have you tried other Express Versions to see if they installed ok?

    Other express versions install OK and the File isn't corrupted i've downloaded it countless times
