Re: C++ books
There are over 100 threads on this very same topic. It might help to search next time.
The best book I think most people agree, is "The C++ Programming Language" by Bjarne Stroustrup.

Yes U should read the book written by the author who made that language. Like The C programming By D.Ritchie
Dont rely only on your luck. Work hard until You get success.
vb Code:
Private sub Time_ispassing
While Me.Notgetsuccess
trygain=tryagain+1
Me.workhard
wend
end sub

There is no such book for any language.
Think about it....if you were an author, would you rather write one book that is a beginning to end and therefore only have income from one book, or, write three books, beginning, intermediate, advanced, and have income from three books?
No one would sit down to write just one.
Here is a good resource.

Re: C++ books
This is an excellent book. The exercises are not too difficult and everything is simple to follow. Sometimes it's a good idea though to have a second book that teaches the same concepts. One or the other can leave out an important clue. That's just some common sense experience with programming books.
Sams Teach Yourself C++ in One Hour a Day 6th Edition.
If you get it make sure it's the 6th Edition.
