Re: [2008] The components for communicating with FrontPage Server Extensions
I would try to solve your first problem first.
Everytime I put my site in the publishing location I get this message, "The components for communicating with FrontPage Server Extensions are not installed". Why is that happening?
Once you get that taken care of it might solve the second problem. I'm an IIS newbie and am just beginning to learn about it. I'm getting that same message and am about to try to start to solve it. If and when I do I'll let you know what I did and if you solve it then post again and tells us what you did.
I know that IIS 7 has a lot of different components that you can select to install or not and the component for communicating with Front Page Server Extensions should be installed since that's what the message is telling us.

Make as many mistakes as you can as quickly as you can. We want to make sure that we make a great enough number of mistakes in a given amount of time so that we can be successful.
