Can anyone supply examples of using sockets? Or just the basic layout of a class that uses sockets? and how to make a small chat program? How i would set-up the server/client programs etc...

I'm not sure about later versions but the VS.NET 2003/.NET 1.1 101 Samples included a client/server chat application that used Sockets. I'd guess that you could still find those 101 Samples on MSDN. Alternatively, you could wait for me to find it for you and post it here. I'm sure it would be a short wait.
