    what is better for software distribution over the internet? .exe or .msi

    what is better for software distribution over the internet? .exe or .msi or is there something better then those two.

    will .MSI work Win 95 and newer or is it only for XP and Vista?

    Afaik MSI is better for distributing in corporate environment as it allow easier installation and support over a huge number of machines. Thus is simply gets down to the question: do you need the features of MSI?
