I usually don't reply to the real easy questions that have been asked hundreds of times.
I don't understand, why can't people just search for their answers? They will find a lot of what they are looking for, all they have to do is be creative and search!
Hate when people do that, so I don't even bother to reply, but that's just me .

Well said Matthew. Although I may make some sarcastic comment like "*yawn* asked loads of times. Look at this..." and give them a URL or something.

Once I saw a guy who's avatar was a palestinian flag. I was thinking if I should reply to it or not, but I did. I answered as best as I could to a person I would problably get mad if I discussed with him about the mid east situation.
I think we should reply whoever is and whenever we know the answer to the question.

Well Katie says I've to tell you that she'll never speak to you ever again until you give her back 'Big Bob', whatever that is.
Oh, and you've to replace the batteries.

Yes, but there are 2 things you must consider if you want to do this. One being the date they were registered and two being their post count. Both of these factors play a role in telling us how often the user visits these forums hence, how much they know. If they have a high post count, that means they pretty much know the forum, and should search before they ask, otherwise, it tells us that they're new and don't know the forum well (in which case we could kindly tell them about the search feature). Same goes for the registration date. If they were registered today, they would probably not know about the search feature yet.
Just my $0.02.

Good point. I also much prefer to help if they've used code tags, and things like that. Although if they are new I'll do my best

No, no, no.
He wouldn't get angry over a VB Q. The thing is that I don't like the palestinians' methods of making peace. It's no big deal but seeing a guy who supports the palestinians by putting a palestinian flag as his avatar makes me annoyed. If I would know the guy personaly I would possibly hate him or disagree with him and therefore I wondered if I should answered to his Q or not.
Drop it anyway.
