ODBC to mysql

Hi,

I have an existing MS Access application that has linked tables to mysql using ODBC 3.51

the application usually runs on another server that has its own DSN defined per its IP address.

Problem is each time i take the application to maintaining work on my machine I have to run link table manager to update DSN to my, and it takes forever to run it over all the linked table, and whats worst is if I close and reopen the access mdb I have to relink the tables all over again, and to type my DSN details.

any ideas how to make it so that I could update DSN once and easily save it?- there must be an easier way of doing this

Why do you even use MS Access with linked tables - isn't there some kind of MySql Client GUI? I think there are several:

Why don't you use MySql client software to directly maintain your database instead of linking tables to Ms Access?
