batch file in vb5

Hi,

I need help with a batch file i have to write in vb5,
i have never done a batch file.

The process will run at a specified time and pull information from a remote database and update the stats database. If it cannot connect in 5 try's it netsend a pc name and tells the tech the problem.

Details of the db locations will be stored on an ini file, the ability to enter a date in the inifile to capture dtat during the day(if it failed that night)

the app will update an audit log giving details of days captured.
