    General Help with vb6

    I have inherited a "system" with 7 main applications written in vb6 using DAO which I am converting to ADO. These are access databases. Four of the applications use Crystal version 8 and three use ActiveReports 2.0. In the main application, there are maybe 75 crystal reports! Here is the problem. As far as I can tell, the vb6 makes an external call to Crystal for each report which makes it slow and difficult to debug. So, what I am asking is twofold. First, what version of Crystal should I be using? I understand some versions mesh with vb6 while version 8 does not. Secondly, are there any examples of how to call crystal reports from vb6? Thanks for any help.

    There are several ways to call crystal reports from a vb6 application
    The 2 more populars are :
    In old cr versions 4 to 8.5, thru Crystl.ocx and in versions 7 to 2008 thru RDC
    You can google 'vb6 crystal ocx rdc' or visit 'Business Objects' that is the crystal reports home
