    Math - Formula Memorization

Okay, so next semester I'm taking Calculus and I'm freaking and out nervous as hell.

Here is what I'm proposing. I'm going to write a program that can be set in a scheduled task to launch every 10 minutes. This program will ask me a question, example....
"Which is the quadratic formula?", and I will have from a,b,c,d answer to choose from.

The next 10 minutes a different question will pop up.

I want to know before I build this, is there anything out there that can help me better my Calculus without taking too much time away from my job?
Anything free, or something that I can buy.

I'm trying to learn Calculus and make it painless and also able to integrate it into my day. So, when class starts, I'm ready.

Note, if I build the app, I will share it with vbforums. I'm just trying to avoid reinventing the wheel.

Using flash cards could be simpler, since you wouldn't have to bother about dealing with the nightmare that is math markup on a computer. I think finding the questions and entering them would take the longest amount of time, though making them up yourself would probably serve as a good learning tool in and of itself. You might want to check out Calculus WIZ, though I personally don't know of anyone who's used it.

Also, if you're going to be this dedicated when taking the course, I doubt you have much to worry about. Calculus can be daunting, especially to those who aren't math-inclined, but it's still just a collection of ideas that can be learned through repetition and good teaching.

If you really want to do it with the computer system, then you can still use the flashcard method. Have the computer either flash up a scanned flash card, or have the computer put up a number, which is the index number of a flashcard in a deck. Kind of hokey, though.
