Re: Filezilla
You sure it isn't your FTP server disconnecting you?

Re: Filezilla
Also, are you sending "FTP Keep Alive commands"?

Re: Filezilla
Hai mendhak,
ah, #4 #5 i really did not care about them. so i take it serious and now check.
after disconneting, the last 3 lines are look like this.
Status: Directory listing successful
Response: 421 Idle Timeout (600 seconds): closing control connection.
Error: Disconnected from server
I have uncheck that Keep alive option. that is the default.
so shall i check it. coz it look like a good option to keep alive ?

Re: Filezilla
I've found FileZilla to disconnect intermittently even when it does send Keep-Alive commands.

Re: Filezilla
I tested this out, you're right. It was sending keep alive commands and disconnected me anyways. Not sure why this is happening. I think I'll move on to WinSCP too

Yes it does that all the time.
If I have enough energy I will download WinSC and uninstall filezilla.

FileZilla remain for atleast 5 minutes when idle. But WinSCP not more than 1 min. I could not find any settings for the connection under preference.

Check the "Advanced options" checkbox and then select Connection > Keep alives > Execute dummy protocol commands > Seconds between keep alives > xx seconds > Save...

Re: [RESOLVED] Filezilla
I'm liking WinSCP, especially the shell integration option which lets me upload files 'faster than usual.'

Re: [RESOLVED] Filezilla
Say I noticed that when I upload with WinSC it may be loading slower then Filezilla. With Filezilla it uploads at 90 and when using WinSC it uploads at 60

Re: [RESOLVED] Filezilla
Speed depends on protocol mostly. Filezilla defaults to FTP; WinSCP defaults to SFTP which is encrypted and thus slower. If you specify FTP, it'll be as quick as FileZilla.

Re: [RESOLVED] Filezilla
I don't even have keep-alive enabled in WinSCP and it never disconnects unless there's a network error.
