When you create a calendar entry you can opt to add a reminder for the event so you wont forget or miss the event.

How can I create an entry in calendar? I tried to add new event through Calendar link in top bar, but it is giving me Permission denied error.

Harsh Gupta, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

OK I got it. I was trying to do it in Public calendar. Switched it to Private and now I am ready to use it.

Sorry, I was trying to add a test event. It said it cannot be added until approved my a Moderator.
