    Network monitoring

    Hi Guys

How would I go about creating a network monitoring type of tool. Basically I want a little app to run on a workstation and retrieve the IP addresses which which the workstation is connecting to. Then maybe write to an xml file or something.

I have search google for two days straight, but have had no joy in finding what I am looking for.

Could someone point me to some tutorials or just point me into the right direction.

Any help will be much appreciated.

    Thanks

Hi ShaunBPD, actually..mm.. do you want to write your own application or use existed one? I can recommend network monitoring tool from Dotcom Monitor at http://www.dotcom-monitor.com/network-monitoring.asp By the way that service is paid.
