Get someone to take a pic of you when you're in ICU, asap after surgery. It's the closest you'll come to resembling a BORG - because of the sheer number of machines you'll be connected to.
Also get your bed number and the number of beds on the ward. We can call you 5 of 12 or something.
Actually I've just put some screen wash in my car; in the hole where the oil should go. I was meant to be moving out today, instead I am trying to find a garage for RAC to tow me to and get it sorted.
my mom had an operation a few years ago. The first day after the operation, she couldn't speak or move anything even if she was awake. It wears off gradually and she was able to move on the second day but still couldn't speak much due to very dry throat caused by tubes as well as anesthesia. All in all I think she stayed in the hospital for about 4 days however her operation was cancer of the thyroid, so for Adam he might have stay in bed longer for everything to heal.
I would have gladly visited even if I fear hospitals.
It would appear that my operation will not been on Wednesday. The NHS decided that an urgent case of obstructive bowel cancer took priority over me . I can hear Mendhaks flowers wilting in disappointment.

how disappointing. i dont know if my sister had a fitting... are you only having 3 surgeries, or are you going to have another to reconnect your rectum and intestine?
mendhak has only just recovered from his own intestinal tract problems, caused by some f*****g awesome roti canai with curry sauce. The straw that broke the camel's back was when he ate some of mine, and wept at the heat.
Funnily enough, his privy still smells sweeter than visualAd.
