Recently there have been some talks involving the people that decide what goes into C++, including the man himself Bjarne Stroustrup, about the future of C++. After a few years without changing much in order to encourage stability, they are now looking at new directions for the development of C++. Here's an article on it and a transcript of Mr Stroustrup's presentation.
