[RESOLVED] Referrals - Count
Hi,
If some clicks on my referrals link to the forum is the number of referrals I have increased or does the person actually have to register?
Also, is it possible to know which members you referred to the forums?
Thanks,
Nightwalker83

Re: Referrals - Count
Although I'm sure someone would have to get registered this feature (as far as I know) has no real value on this board.

That's what I was thinking! I thought that if the feature did serve a purpose it would be good idea to track the referrals in the user cp. Such as "User name", "Date Joined" and who they were "Referred by".

Yes, they have to complete the registration process for you to get a referral credit. It is a valuable resource for promoting forum growth on most boards. It just depends on how or if its uitilized..

Re: Referrals - Count
You mean like show your referrals in your control panel? That is possible but will require editing the forum software and using an AddOn. Its usually very hard to justify making any changes. Perhaps an Admin could say but I doubt they will go for it. I like the idea but who knows.

Re: Referrals - Count
rob is correct, since the count is of no particular use here, It wouldn't really be of any use

Why does the forum use the count then?

Re: Referrals - Count
Referral Count is used at other sites as a means to increase registrations and traffic.
